Principal’s Blog

Dear Fairhaven Families,

I hope that you have had an amazing summer and are ready for the start of another fantastic school year. We are looking forward to having students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm. Already teachers are hard at work developing challenging and meaningful work for their students to engage with this year.

The school office opens for business on August 10th. Office hours are from 9:00 – 12:00 and 1:30 – 3:30.

The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 23rd 9:15 – 3:45. Doors open for students at 8:45.

Fairhaven’s CUBS day for all in-coming 6th grade students will be on Thursday, August 17th 12:00 – 3:30. This is a great opportunity for new 6th graders to visit the campus before the school year starts, meet some staff and older students, participate in fun games and activities, tour the school, get schedules, practice with lockers, and have a chance to get to know FMS a little bit better before school starts.

The annual Grizzly Grab for 7th & 8th graders will be on August 21st. Families with last names starting with the letters A to L are scheduled for 1:00 – 2:00 and M to Z are 2:00 – 3:00. Parents and students will be able to pick up schedules, athletic packets, and locker assignments. All teachers will be participating in our school’s Professional Development on this day and their classrooms will not be available to visit.

The last day to sign up for Fall Sports will be on Friday, September 1st at 4:00 pm. The first day of Fall Sports will be on Tuesday, September 5th right after Labor Day Weekend. Fall Sports include: Co-ed Track, Boys Soccer, and Girls Soccer.

Fairhaven Curriculum Night will be on Tuesday, September 12th from 6:00 – 8:00. We invite all parents to come in to Fairhaven, meet your child’s teachers, and learn about the standards and curriculum that your children will be engaged with this year.

We look forward to meeting you and your family at these events!
